Hi All
I am considering getting a pair of Campy Bora wheels for fast rides and races. Here we ride on mostly flat roads with rolling hills, so weight is not a real factor. I am choosing between Mavic Cosmic Carbon and used but excellent condition Bora wheels.

The Mavic looks great, but is heavier and costs more, thanks to the rise in the Euro and the recent tax increases here. The Bora I can get for about USD900 including Record cassette, and its been used about 500km only, and in great condition.

Anyone has ever made a direct comparision between these wheels, or have long term riding experience with either?> I would appreciate your thoughts, comments or even advise. Its always good to know what others have to say as well.

Thanks very much, have a nice ride!

oops..sorry...its actually about USD980, and includes WR Compositi skewers.
BORA ranks far higher than Cosmic CarboneKerry

Unless you see something wrong with the BORA, they are a top of the line wheel and a serious step up from the MAVICs. That said, you really won't need this performance except at the top of the racing world, so the price can only be "worth it" in your mind.
