Can anyone compare these three as far as ease of using the clamp, holding the saddle without slippage and durability? Does the Alien use a new clamp mechanism or is it still unchanged for 2003.

Can't comment on the EC-90. Bth the Use and ITM posts are good solid performers. Peple who can't use the USE clamp must be mechanically challenged it's really no big deal. Nice secure clamp once its setup, with almost 1 cm of setback. Setback on this post depends more on the rails of your saddle than the clamp itself as some saddles can easily be moved back and some will allow little backward movement because of the configuration of their rails. The iTM seatpost uses a nice 2 bolt clamp, has a bit more setback than the USE and weighs a bit more but its still pretty light. Both are good seatposts especially if you have to have carbon on your seatpost.
