|Anyone ride thoes new campy carbon cranks?
Do they feel stiff ? Are they stiffer than alloy cranks?
I know there light and very expensive.
I was thinking they would absorb some road shock.

|I think carbon only looks cool mainly because it's the new thing. If everything were carbon for the last 50 years, and aluminum were new, it would look cool.
Carbon components alone don't absorb shock, but damp vibration a tiny bit.

|Sometimes when I get new stuff I "feel" faster.
It's what I call LDF (Look Down Factor)
I do spend alot of time in the saddle
New toys are fun
But the stuff I got now works just fine

|I hate it when people say, what a waste of money. You only live once so go for if you can afford it. The FSA cranks are actually pretty affordable. Id consider them but I'm trying to avoid a teched-out look on my bike. The cost makes it easy to pass up on. I think they would make a bike feel more resoponsive due to the stiffness and lower rotational mass of the cranks. Personally a nice set of wheels would be a better investment IMO.
