How to tell head tube size?daneil

I have an old MoHo road. It has what I take to be a 1" threaded headset but the headtube itself looks extremely large for a 1" steerer. I've also been noticing a bit of play in the stem even when it's tightened to spec. The headset is a Stronglight and i don't know if they've ever made a reducing headset like the Chris King does. I'm only asking because every other MOHO I've seen is outfitted with a 1 1/8" threadless setup, and if that's true than I'm going to get rid of the Wound Up I have on it now and pick up a threadless fork/stem/headset. Also I'm concerned about the play. Thanks alot guys. I appreciate the help.

There wewe 1" threaded ones.Measure it. Headtube for 1" ISO cups it 30.2mm, and 11/8" cups are 34mm. Play in the stem in a threaded system has nothing to do with the HS.
