Okay, the screw is there, just in a different spot. Does the same thing.

That little screw can make a huge difference in shifting and prevention of chain skip. While you'll have to experiment, as I can't recall which way does what, if you get any chain skip, the first thing I'd do is check the screw, as it could be that rather than a misdiagnosed worn chain or cogs. This is especially true if you are getting skip in all cogs, not just the most used ones.
