|Hey i'm trying to build up a 24 spoked wheel and i want to compare available rims. i just don't know what erd means and if a higher erd is better/worse than a lower one.
Can u help? i'd apreciate any other advice.

|ERD means Effective Rim Diameter. It is the distance from one spoke hole (where the head of the nipple seats)to the hole on the opposite side. It is used for calculating spoke length. Higher/Lower ERD isn't necessarily better or worse just an indicator of how the rim is made.|
