Sora component upgradeSkipB

I am currently riding a Scwinn Super Sport (don't laugh I like it) which I rode for about 600 miles last year. I am thinking of upgrading the components to the 105's. Besides the derailleur and the shifter/brakes what components must be upgraded? Cassette? Crankset? Chain? Are there any websites that address this exact issue of upgrading and compatability of components? I most likely will pick up the parts through ebay and through sales - any particularly good places to find the components cheap?

Thanks for any input.

Sora is 8 speed. 105, Ultegra, Dura Ace are all 9. Conversion requires new shifters, rear derraliuer, cassette. Might be able to use Sora front derraliuer, but a 105 front derraliuer replacement can be found cheaply.

As you probably know, the 105 went through a cosmetic change this year - from silver to black. A LOT of old stock silver is still out there at reduced prices (same quality, just less expensive).

Try JensonUSA.com or nashbar.com for cheap $
