|Bottom bracket clicking?||cm_movin|

|I'm hearing a clicking only on the downstroke of my right foot when I'm peddling. It is rather annoying. You don't hear it when I'm coasting or turning the crank when off the bike. I't hard to tell exactly where its coming from, but I think its the bottom bracket. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?|

|Yep - Very common - especially with high end BB's such as Dura Ace - and especially if you installed it yourself or your shop mechanic is not too clued up. If any of these apply to you - take it to a decent LBS for a repack.|

|There's wide range of possibilities. The rear skewer moving in the dropout can cause this type of sound. It could also be a cleat or pedal related problem. It could be the saddle or seatpost - does it continue out of the saddle?
I had a noise that I was certain to be in the crank or bottom bracket area which turned out to be the spokes on my rear Ksyrium creaking. A drop of thin lube on each of the nipples stopped the noise.
I've never had a clicking bottom bracket in 19 years of cycling.
