I've bought these carbon wheels in August 2002. Then I was the first user of these wheels in Europe (not counting the US Postal team). Ever since I've been riding them in all circumstances, even a bit on paves.

My bike is a Trek 5500... soon I'll be puting them in my new OCLV 5900. They look great on it.

I can tell you honistly, they are amazing! First of all, there is the wheight (1340 gr I think), incredibly light. Good for me, because I adore light stuff. I mounted Vittoria Corsa CX on them (I'll change this to lighter tubular, probably Veloflex or Tufo). This is by far the greatist advantage of this wheel... you can feel the absolute lightness from the first kilometer you ride on them. They are great to climb, to accelerate...
Secondly they are really aerodynamic. If I ride on flat roads at a hard speed, I can feel this damn good.

Disadvantages? The price. If you're looking for a light wheel, Mavic Ksyrium is cheaper. If you're only looking for an aerodynamic wheel, Mavic Cosmic Carbone is cheaper and as good as the Bontrager on this aspect (although the Mavic Carbone is less stiff). But the Bontrager Race X-Lite Carbons are the perfect combination of these aspects. Great wheels, the stiffest you can get (if you don't buy Lightweight wheels!).
You can get them for tires... but sinces I prefere only to ride tubulars, this problem isn't mine.
