While these cranks have gotten some early positive reviews, so have many of their predecessors, and NONE (count 'em!) ever came to anything like common use. Such gizmos have been around since the invention of the safety bicycle ca. 1890. The patent literature is full of comparable devices, and claims for improvement. While these guys may have broken the secret code that has eluded all their forefathers, I'm not betting on it. Don't forget - each and every one of these assumes that it is your pedalling efficiency, not your cardiovascular system that is holding you back. Ever seen any evidence that this is true? Me neither.
