Campagnolo 9-10sp. compatibility....philippec

I have 10 sp. on my race bike and would like to switch it to 9 speed (race assistance usually has more 9 sp. wheels than 10 sp.). So, other than the right shifter, what else "needs" to be changed. e.g. can I switch out the rear der. pulleys w/ 9-speed ones and keep the current der?, Can I run a 9-sp chain on my 10 sp. crank and chainrings, etc...

Thanks

A+

The only thing that "needs" to be changed is the shifting disc inside the shifter itself- which, essentially amounts to overhauling the shifter. Other than that, everything should work with 9 speed. Things like pulleys and chainrings will work better (and be cheaper) if you change them to 9 speed, but they will get the job done if you don't want to change them.

The 9 and 10 rear mechs are exactly the same except for the jockey wheels and the little x speed logo.
