Narrow hubsets still available?(2 posts)

Narrow hubsets still available?MLCrisis

I'm looking to build some humble wheels to use on my 1970s road bike (120 mm rear dropouts). I'd rather not spread the frame if I don't have to. Does anybody know of a source for new (or old NOS) quick release hubsets for old style 5 sp. freewheel setups like mine? I know Phil Wood still sells them but my budget probably won't allow for this. Thanks!

Sure, I know of a place.

If you email me at bikestuffjunkie@aol.com, I can help you out with a NOS American Classic freewheel hub. It has adjustable axle end caps that allow the user to make it 120 to 130 or even 135mm spacing. It is brand new, silver and has never been laced. I was going to put it on EBAY, but I haven't had the chance too.

Fred.
