Help guys-What fork rake for a 74 deg. headtube???kamss

so my homie bought a pretty nice xl schwinn fastback frame with a 74 deg. headtube. he is shopping around for a fork, he has all the other parts. i told him that his current fork should work o.k., it's a look hsc3 with a 40mm rake (the fork has a 1" carbon steerer though). is that cool? also, the frame has a 1 1/8" headtube with a intergrated headset, are there reducers for integrated headsets? i think he is out of luck. whatcha guys think?

I think he's got the right rake but will need a 1 1/8" steerer, don't know of a way to reduce.
The rake that the frame mfg. specifiesKerry

The bike was designed with a fork rake in mind. Use that and then you won't have to worry about handling anomolies, excess shoe overlap, etc.
