|I noticed the track bars have deeper and more rounded drops, and the track are also considerably narrower.
Can someone tell me what's the reason for all these differences?

|Track races are relatively short so comfort gives way to a better aero position. Lower and more narrow.

|I've tried really wide bars, and they just suck in sprinting. I couldn't rock the bike in sync with pedaling due to the bars being so wide. I can now see why its important to have the right bar width and I guess that narrower bars would be better for sprinting.

|Track bars (and old Cinelli Criterium 65 bars) have a shorter reach and more pronounced curve from the stem to prevent contact between bars and the arms (just above the wrist) when sprinting.|| |
