|Panaracer tires mounting problem...||DINOSAUR|

|I just installed new tires on both of my bikes, Panaracer Stradius Elites folding (700x23). I needed new tires for both of my rides and these were on sale, cheap. They were a bear to mount. Some tires are difficult to mount (such as Michelins) but these things took a lot of work. The rubber is very supple and pliable and the tires fit TIGHT. I'm thinking this is why they were on sale in the first place. I don't know how they ride as I haven't tried them out yet, but I wouldn't use them again even if they were free, just due to the mounting problem. Anyone had the same experience with these tires, or did I just get a bad batch? I know this should go in the review section but these tires are not rated (yet)...|

|Hmmm, sounds like a fluke. I've used Stradius Pros and the original Stradius, and neither one was as difficult to mount as Michelin Axial Pros.
I love the ride - I weigh 150 lbs, and generally use 110 psi front and rear. They're sticky, but wear well, and seem durable.

|Maybe it was a fluke, but 4 tires on two bikes took a loooooooooong time to mount. I got these on sale for $16.95 each, have not been able to ride on them yet as the whole west coast is under water at the present time. If they work out I think I will try the Stradius Pro version next time around. Maybe these are factory seconds (?), they are marked 700x23 (which I ordered) but they look more like 700x20's, but I did not measure them (yet).
Thanks for the feed back...
