Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with quill adapters? I'm thinking about switching to a stem with an adapter. Please give me the pros and cons.

I've used quill adapters on a couple of bikes, with no problems. Threadless stems are not as versatile as threaded when it comes to stem height, so you may be somewhat limited in your choices, depending what you want to accomplish.

I had a quill to threadless stem adapter on a bike for a while - I sold the bike, so no need for it anymore. It worked fine, never had any issues. The weight is higher than a quill or a threadless only set-up, but it's not something that you'll really notice.
Heavier and more expensiveKerry

but more choices for stems. More choices is useless unless you can't find a quill stem that works for the same money. Unless, of course, this is all about "looks" in which case you should knock yourself out.
