(When) are the new DA STI lever's that Lance Armstrong has on his bike in SI available to the public? They may be a bit heavier, but probably easier to reach from the drops.
what's different about them?nmcxer

The best photos are on pages 52 and 58. Is this 10 speed, or just an ergonomic change in the lever? Remember a few years ago when race photos revealed the 9 speed levers a few months before the new group was available?
Could you scan the photos??gray8110

I don't have the magazine, but I have seen the cover, the shifters look noticably different from the current DA crop, but also the wheels.. which are Bontragers aren't the 2003 Bontrager design with paired spokes.. these look like a more traditional high spoke count wheel.. take a look yourself..

Yep, look's like some big 'ol tires, too. If I was sitting on the bike 30 hours/week I'd want some really reliable and cushy wheels and tires ... especially when out in the sticks dodging the bubbas. According to the article, Big Tex has the same problems with rednecks as the rest of us and had one jump out of his pickup and swing a baseball bat at him!
It looks like Lance is intentionally covering somethingLC

His hand on the right lever and extra large lettering just happen to be covering the left.
