Is there a size difference between the shimano 9 spd and campy 10 spd chains? If not, I wonder why shimano hasn't made 10 spd components?

Can I use an SRAM chain with "prolink" with a shimano/campy mix?

I think there is a slight size diff between shim 9 spd
and campy 10 spd chain. Right now I'm using a pc-99 sram chain with campy 9 spd shifters/derailleurs and wheels manufacturing shimano cassette and it works just fine for me.

Campy 10 chain is 6.1mm wide and 9 speed is 6.8mm wide. Shimano 9 speed is 6.6mm wide.

Sram 9 speed is 6.9mm wide. a shimano 9 will run on campy 10 in some applications, but in others (short stays, large cogs)the width gets in the way,Issues would be worse with a sram 9 speed.
I do; no issuesweiwentg

I assume you're asking because you wish to use 9s DA cranks with an otherwise 10s Campy drivetrain. I am doing this, and have no issues so far.
thinking of doing just that....Bruno S

I have 180mm DA cranks and I wish to built a bike with as much carbon as possible so Record would be the choice. No carbon cranks are available in 180mm as far as I know.

Although this setup may work, Aesthetically, Campy componemts will not mix with Shimano.
