| Shimano PD 6601 verses PD 7701 pedals | cf1 Dec 6, 2002 6:25 PM | | From the information provided on Shimano's web-site these pedals appear to be quite similar. Would anyone care to outline the reasons why I should consider spending the extra cash for the 7701 model? Thanks. |

The DA version has better bearings, is a little lighter, and has an additional adjustment that affects clicking out. Also, the DA spindle has no flat to use a pedal wrench; you need to use a hex key. That allowed them to get the inboard bearing a little closer to the crank arm.
Riding, you can't tell the difference, and they are both very durable and serviceable. |
