Does anyone have any experience with these wheels? Sharp looking wheelset, but I'd like to hear from someone with firsthand knowledge.

I wrote off both my wheels in a crash on Saturday (dammit!), and have just bought a set of the WH-R540's as the replacement. I pick them up tonight, so haven't even riden them yet! So I'll look forward to that, and to hearing other experiences.

The pair weighs 1870gr so they're not that light. But they are intended as a general purpose training wheel.

A couple of training buddies of mine use the predecesor R535 wheels, and have had no problems after about 4,000km of use. That's why I've gone for the R540. The reviews of the R535 on this site are OK if you put them in the context of the price and purpose of the wheels.
