Hey!
I just got a really nice little fedex package containing two brand new ultegra shift levers--should I attempt to install them myself or should I have my happy little local bike shop guys do it? Is it complicated? Is it easy? Does it require years of fine-tuning cable adjusting blah blah blah experience? Will I f*ck it up?

Hurry answer please I can't stand to sit here fondling them anymore!!!

Installing the levers is easy. Adjusting the deraileurs to make the shifters work correctly is a bit more work, but not overly difficult if you know what you're doing.

Does the fact that you pose this question mean that you have no idea how to do this? Do you have tools? Do you have reasonable mechanical skills and intuition about how things work? Do you do well in following the directions? If you can't say yes to most of these questions, it's off to the bike shop for you!
