How to mount a Dura Ace Front Derailleur on a 1 3/8 frame??apctjb

Building a Litespeed 2002 Classic with Dura Ace components. Litespeed indicates that the tube size is 1 3/8" but looking at the Shimano web site it looks like they offer clamps for 1 1/8 and 1 1/4. Anyone know how to mount a dura ace front derailleur on a Litespeed Classic?

Thanks
1-3/8" is a standard offering...C-40

Any catalog (Excel Sports, etc.) that sells Shimano offers the front derailleur with a 1-3/8" clamp.

A better idea would be to go Campy Chorus. I'll stop there.

...Shimano also makes a clamp on adapter so a braze-on derailleur can be installed on oversize seat tube frames. The adapters come in both 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" sizes.

Excel may 'list' it,but neither Shimano or QBP do.
I don't think it is,TJeanloz

1 3/8" from Excel is probably a braze-on with a 1 3/8" clamp adapter. I don't think they make a 1 3/8" with an integrated clamp. Either works just as well, and the braze on gives you more flexibility for the future.

it's 1-3/8", which is just right!!! the braze-on with clamp idea is the best, since a braze-on can be mounted to any frame (if you have the right size clamp).

I just built a Chissalo, 1 3/8" seat tube, and used a D/A 1 3/8" clamp on the F/D.
