SORA Shifting problem ?gybeho

ARUGH!!! Anyone have any tricks getting a SORA GS 8speed rear derailer to run on all 8 cogs (besides junking the whole system for campy:). It seems like no matter what I do, the thing skips, jumps, and clangs around. Bike is a 2003 Fuji Finest AL with 300 miles on it.

Did you take your bike back to the dealer for it's intital tune-up? After 300 miles your cables have stretched and you need adjustments. Sora will never be amazing, but it should ride well enough.

Hehehe, I just so happen to work at the shop.... The joys of going back to college:) Anyways, No matter how much I fidget with the adjustment, it will only run on 5 or six cogs. I'm beginning to suspect some kind of alignment problem with the hanger.

I agree with taking a look at the hanger. Which side of the cable cinch bolt do you have the derailluer cable attached, it does make a difference.

DUN DUN DA! Wire is attached on the outside, at a wierd angle. Let me guess, it's supposed to attach on the inside?
