Sidi/Speedplay(4 posts)

I'm having a real problem with this combo, but only on my right foot. Hotspotting real bad. Shims are the proper ones. I have moved the cleat all over the place and the result is always the same. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you've moved the cleat all over the place, then insoles are the only thing left to solve your problem. If you are using the stock insoles, run down to Wal-Mart and get $12 Doctor Sholl's insoles and see if they help. Otherwise, people say Superfeet and Peterson's are effective.

Do you pronate? Speedplays are known to be trouble for people who have pronation problems because of all the float. When you pedal with the right leg is it doing any figure 8's? Sounds like you need some corrective insoles with support behind the arch, not arch support itself, but support behind the arch.

I used the X2's for years on my road bike with no problems. I pronate excessively and use rigid plastic orthotics with a deep heel cup. Maybe that gave me a more rigid support.
