|Brake pad adjustment...HELP!!!!!!!||REPO42|

|got new brake pads for dura ace 7700. pads are the 7700 models, but it's been 3 weeks with them and they squeel more than a farm pig......I think the problem is with the toe in... Tried washing debris, cleaning the rim...etc...
I am not sure of the toe in.. for the rear brake is the toe closest to the seat tube supposed to contact first or vice versa? On the front is the toe closest to the fork supposed to contact first... Send pics if possible...thank you

|I've actually never had a road bike brakes squeel and I've worked on quite a few. Now MTB's are a different story. Toeing in is achieved by adjusting the front of the brake pads on both brakes to contact the rim first. On road brakes the only way to accomplish this is to physically bend the arms. Before doing this I would take some sandpaper or scotchbrite to the rims and brake pads. I have a feeling this will solve your problem.|| |
