Shimano 105 vs Ultegra BB ??s(3 posts)

Shimano 105 vs Ultegra BB ??sChef

Good morning all,

I'm switching frames, and while the majority of my Ultegra components can make the transfer easily the BB has to go from English- to Italian-thread; obviously, I need a new BB. I currently use an Ultegra splined BB, English, double - but would a 105 splined be compatible with my Ultegra cranks? I'm trying to save some money, and frankly I could care less whether there's a 105 or Ultegra BB in the frame.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

No problems, the 105 is the same length and spline pattern, just a bit heavier. I had a 105 bb on a former bike and had no issues whatsoever.
Thank you! nmChef
