Are FiR hubs different between shimano and campy regarding their freehubs? Or is there and easy solution to make an shimano accepting hub accept campy?
The specific reference, a (for sale) FiR wheelset accepts shimano and I wish to have it accept campy 8 for cyclocross. what are the options if worth the work?

The spline pattern for Shimano and Campy cogs are different, and therefore you'd have to change the freehub to make these hubs work with Campy. Your other option is one of the special cassette/spacer sets available to have Campy spacing on a S-compatible freehub. These are quite pricy, so it's open to debate whether this is worth doing (same applies to changing out the freehub).

To my knowledge Fir use Edco hubs - check with Edco to see if you can get the Campy 8 speed body. I have swopped between Campy/Shimano on Edco Olympic hubs.
