Got Caught In the Rain Yesterday(3 posts)

Got Caught In the Rain YesterdayB2

It was supposed to be sunny and what happens... I end up riding the last 20 miles in the rain. I'm wondering if anyone has had any problems with Ksyriums after riding in the rain? When I was wiping everything down, I noticed that a fair amount of water kept coming out the rim from the hole for the tube. Any recommended maintenance for the Ksyriums after getting drenched?

Probably the same as my Rolf's. Just take off the tires and empty any water. Let them dry out and them reinstall. You should be fine.

I don't know about your hubs, but I don't think 20 miles of rain will do too much. Others, with the same wheels, may know better.

Happy riding.

Don't worry about it. Here in Florida it rains all the time, so needless to say I have a set of Ksyriums with about at least 5000 miles on them... probably 2000 in the pouring rain. I have never replaced the bearings but they are sealed and very easily replaced and inexspensive. Now if you really wanna see water remove the tire and tube!!!
