Marchisio Cassette to Convert Mavic Cosmos to Campy(3 posts)

Marchisio Cassette to Convert Mavic Cosmos to CampyKenny
Oct 28, 2002 7:03 PM
Does anyone have any experience with Marchisio Aviotex cassettes: installation, shifting, durability, etc.? I want to convert a Mavic Cosmos (Shimano compatibility only) wheel to Campy 10 speed compatibility. Besides being able to run Campy 10 speed, the Marchisio cassette would give me the ability to custom-design my rear cog selection.
(Incidentally, I realize that Mavic supplies their special M10 cassette for just this purpose. However, several posters to this forum warned me about installation problems and poor shifting when using the Mavic cassette for a Campy 10 conversion.) Thanks in advance.
Marchiso is much worse shifting than Mavic...TJeanloz

The Marchisio cassette is a definite compromise in the shifting department. Jack-of-all-trades, master of none. My first choice, for your application, would be a Wheels Manufacturing Accelerator10 cassette, followed by the Mavic M10, followed by the Marchisio.

I turned my shimano compatible Mavics into a campy compatible with a cassette from a company called Wheels mfg.

here is the link.

It is a great product. Shifting is flawless. I highly recommed it.
