Trek 5900 - angle of stem (bontrager)?anzoni

Hi!
Got myself a 5900 last year, but the Bontrager stem has an akward angle (rises quite a bit upwards). Is it possible to put it upwards down as with some models from Deda (newton, or do I have to change it to get it closer to straight?
Thanks for your help!
Assumably yes ...Markus_B

if we're talking about a current model ("Race Road" or "Race Lite Road").

First of all the column headings at www.bontrager.com specify angles like "Rise (+/-) (°)".

Secondly I bought a 2002 Klein Q Pro which came with a Race Lite Stem (with oversized bar clamp). The stem has originally been (and still is) assembled in the -7° Position (although I'm not sure if by LBS or by Trek).

Last argument: To me the stem appears to be completely symmetric.

Of course I recommend asking Bontrager - this should be enough of a disclaimer ;-)
Yes, you can flipTrekFurthur

the rise on the Bontrager is about 2 degrees more than the Newton (7 to 5), which is not enough to make a lot of difference.
