I am considering either Capmy Proton or Mavic Cosmos: any opinions or other information would be helpful. Thanks, in advance.

I have been running the protons for the last 3500 miles with no problems. I also think they are lighter than the cosmos.

The Protons are indeed quite a bit lighter than the Cosmos. I have a pair of Protons & like them a lot, but only have 500 miles on them so far. The Cosmos are probably more durable, especially if you weigh 200 lbs or more, and have a sealed cartridge bearing if that's important to you. All Campy hubs use cup n' cone bearings.
Go with the Protons. NMSpunout
