Anyone using these pedals, especially on a roadbike? Curious as to how you feel about them?

I have used them for several months on my road bike.

They are inexpensive, lightweight, functional, and easy to enter and exit. 4 sided entry means I never have to look down at the pedals when clipping in, which is a big plus if you ride in traffic. Unintentional clipping out has never been a problem, but the smooth exit saved me from falling under a bus a couple weeks ago.

The plaform is obviously much smaller than a road specific pedal. But, matched with decently stiff shoes I think that they are fine.

I have been using them about a month or so and love them.

The 4 sided entry and easy exit have been great on commutes and riding in traffic. Also, I have never come unclipped when I haven't wanted to, even climbing or sprinting hard.

For having such a small platform and cleat, I have had no problems with hot spots either. I have done a few long rides, including a century, on them and have had no problems whatsoever.

They are super light and easy to care for as well (only need a flathead screwdriver and a wrench to take them apart).

They now have a road cleat out, which has pontoons to make walking easy.

Can't stress enough how great these have been for me.

Thanks guys,

I am psyched about these pedals. Have heard nothing bad about them. They showed up in the mail today. Will be out trying them tomorrow. Hopefully I will now be "SPD FREE"
