Changing lenses in Rudy Project Tayos - how?(5 posts)

Changing lenses in Rudy Project Tayos - how?Eric_H

OK, generally I can figure out the basic things, like how to tie my shoes and brush my teeth. But for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to actually change the lenses in my Rudy Project Tayo glasses! Any attempt sort of makes me feel like I am about to break them.

Could someone who has performed this operation please enlighten me?

I was afraid to change the lense when I first got them, but once you've done it, it is really easy. Hold the glasses so that it faces toward the outside. Use your thumb to push the buttom part of the lense toward the outside while use other fingers to hold the frame, you may also need to use index finger to bend the frame a little bit to get it out. You just have to have confidence that you are NOT going to break it, the frame materal does have some flexibility. Worst case, Rudy has a $40 frame replacement warrenty, don't worry, you won't need it.

Thanks for the detail! I figured that must be the direction of exit travel, but I guess I did not bend the frame quite enough.
The real question... how did you snap that pic??? nmPdxMark
