I'm looking on getting an aero wheelset for road racing and TT.Can anyone give their experiences or comments with the Mavic Carbone and Hed Alps regarding quality, weight, durability, performance.Which one is the better choice in your opinion? Thanks.
I know nothing about the Alps, but the Carbone is a POS,TJeanloz

The carbone is really just a reflex/open pro rim with too few spokes and an aero fairing around the rim. The carbon is not structural in the least. Everybody I ever sold these to had trouble keeping them true. Admittedly, they all loved the way they rode.
check out Zipp 404, too nmDougSloan
