My wife rides a Trek 2300 with the stock Icon seatpost. With her seat all the way forward, she still is off on KOPS (if you believe in that type stuff) and needs the seat a tad more forward. Any seatpost recommendations that would put the seat back in a "middle of the road" location? Doesn't need to be weight weenie stuff.

Second the Thomson, but, alternatively, you could flip the current seat post around 180 degrees so it is set forward. This would let her try out new positions without buying a new post first. There is also nothing wrong with it as a permanent solution, except for looks.

I too like the thompson idea, but here are a few others available. Syncros(aluminum,ti, or carbon), lp composites, control tech, ringle moby. Just a few ideas incase you decide not to go with the thompson.

I have the Icon seatpost on a Klein Quantum. Ive turned the seatpost around to give me a steeper seat angle with success.

Remember that you will most likely have to set the seat higher to account for the move forward.
