|i've found some new sun mistral rims in a bikeshop, i think they have been there for years.... they are quite light, and have quite a shallow section despite being double wall rims.
does anyone have any experience regarding them? they are bl00dy cheap, which is why i am considering them.... can't seem to find any reviews on them, which might mean they are pre road bike review. currently running some deep profile ambrosia rims, weigh a ton and wrong colour, would like to change but light on coin at the moment...

|As I remember, that used to be a common rim on tandems. I'm guessing it is similar to Sun's current CR-18 rim. Make sure that the diameter and hole configuration are what you need.|

|I too have purchased a ton of these for a really good price at a LBS. I've had great success with them and I'm a large rider. They don't lace up as well as a Mavic but they're pretty close. I think these mistrals are the equivalent of a M-14 or ME-14 rim in the review section. I've got 4,000 miles on a set with no problems to date.|

|I used to race with a set of M-17 rims. They were just about the lightest tubular rims you could buy. I still have the front and would have the back if the spokes would have held up. I now have a set of M-19 rims that are bulletproof with 14g straight DT spokes.|| |
