ok, i'm primarily a mountain biker but just bought a road bike for winter/training rides in the bay area. i need to get some pedals for it, am very happy with my mtn. bike shoes so am looking for a light weight set of spd pedals for the road bike. anyone have suggestions? i'm thinking of wtb stealth, any other ideas would be appreciated. used or new is fine wih me. thanks.

Ritchey 'road logic' single sided spd's are light and have worked good for me. Check ebay as there are several vendors selling them for around $60/set.

I really like the "Road Logic's" and bought a pair for my fixed gear. I planned on using the same shoes that are set up for my mountain bike with Shimano SPD's. For some reason the cleats that work with the Ritchey's do not release well from the other SPD's. I had to pull my foot out of the shoe the first time I tried them so I could yank the shoe off the bike with my hands. If you use the Shimano cleats with the Ritchey pedals it's better but not right, they will release but they feel "notchy", and kind of sloppy. So since you're planning on sharing shoes I'd advise against these. If you are going to get another pair of shoes then I'd say they are a real nice, light SPD road pedal that I've done a lot of fixed gear miles on without a hitch.

thanks for the headsup...performance has the lower pedal, the forte pro, 260gr, on sale for $40. that seems to be a good deal.
