I think I miss my 16 looking at a 13-25texbaz

I'm in need of a new cassette, I'm using a shimano 12-25 ultegra that has been real good for the terrain here in north texas. I really don't think I use my 12 cog that much and I would be getting back a 16t cog which seems like a better transition any thoughts greatly appreicated.

I vary my cassette quit a bit depending on conditions - I use loose cog Campy cassettes. In flatter terrain I run a 12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-21. In hillier areas that becomes a 12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-23. In the mountains it changes to a 13-15-16-17-19-21-23-25. The 16 is always there and I'd definitely feel uncomfortable if it weren't.

I agree. I think the Campy 12 - 25 is the perfect combo. You got the 25 for going up the hills, the 12 for flying down the hills, and the 16 for motoring with the group on the flats. I think Shimano missed the boat here by limiting the combos with the 16. I am looking at building up a new bike and would go with the Ultegra 13-25. I would give up the 12 to have the 16 and 25.

While Shimano doesn't seem to offer them in typical retail channels, you can custom order things like 13-23, and then you get the 18 as well.
