Doing Six-Gap Century here in Georgia and wondered about issues running xt/xtr der. and cassete on road bike with Dura Ace STI. I want to run a 11-32 or 12-34 will any 9spd xt/xtr der. work?
I have the XT rear der and 11-32 XT cassette....gogene

....on my Dura Ace equipped bike. It's been on my bike for a year and no issues at all. I used XT because of the significant cost difference and marginal performance difference with XTR.

Will work fine. Don't forget you'll likely need a new chain too.
Just completed this same swap.......RickC5

on my wife's Trek 5500 using XT stuff (11-34 cassette). Worked like a champ, only needed to adjust the limit screws on the derailluer. Shifts fine.

You will need a new chain too. Or at least some more links.
