The cost is similar, but AM Classic say theirs are lighter due to their hubs being lighter.

I recently purchased a set of Zipp 303 clinchers and they are by far the better from from technical standpoint with respect to the design, straight pull spokes etc. The American Classics are also a great wheel and it is my understanding that Zipp may provide the Carbon to AC. But nevertheless I selected the Zipp mainly due to their history with Carbon Wheels and the weight difference is only one element to consider. Good luck

The zipps are more of a proven commodity than the AC wheelsets . . . not saying the AC are bad.

I've got the am classic carbons. It's the same rim as a 303 (the 280 rim). The hubs are lighter and consequently the wheelset is lighter. Amclassic makes a great hub. Just to be up front, I went with amclassic because they sponsor my team and I got a great deal on the wheels. It was really a no brainer for me. But I have to say that I have had nothing but good experiences with this wheelset and the same goes for my team-mates.

There will probably be a wait on the amclassics, but I really liked the fact that when I called, I was talking to the guy who was going to build the set and he definitely knew what he was talking about. Turns out he knew what he was doing too. The wheels arrived perfectly true and they've stayed that way. I'd give am classic a call and just see what they have to say. I don't think you can go wrong with either company, but my vote would be for the amclassics.
