|Beware ITM stems that are welded at both ends.
I am recovering from a broken stem that snapped at the weld
at over 30mph. This time a bruised shoulder and nasty abrasions.
I now hear of other riders who have stems snap at the weld
- broken collar bones, stiches and nasty cuts.
This stem is a fatality waiting to happen.
Anyone else had a problem as I need information to have
manufacturer to do a product recall.
All info on experiencesappreciated

|You broke "The" stem at the welds? Mine doesn't have any welds- it's a single forged block (as most high quality stems are).|

|Yes you are right but I and many riders have been using an ITM stem ref ALU - T and no matter how much they cost a life can be lost when it breaks at speed. At whatever price this shud not happen!
Just kep an eye open for anyone that has one as it cud be a life a stake.
