Time Equipe Pro Cx shoes adapter Question(5 posts)

Time Equipe Pro Cx shoes adapter QuestionOld_school_nik

I just inherited a pair of 02' Time Equipe Pro Cx shoes (the new grey ones) and they seem to be as heavy as my 11 year old (top of the line at the time) Time carbons. Shouldn't the CX's be lighter? Can anyone with the shoes tell me if there are 2 differnt adapters for use with time pedals (old not Impact pedals) is there a lighter adapter I can put in? as it seem most of the weight in in the hardware.

Thanks in advance!

Looked it up, Times are around 624 grams, and Sidi Energy's are about 612 grams. I'm interested in this shoe as well, but not sure how they run size wise compared to my Northwaves evolutions.

the tim shoe does have a very good 3 strap system and is snug around the heel and a little wider at the toe box than most also has a higher toe box than most. It however very expensive!

But what about the damn 10lb adapters plates?

still trying to figure it out.

Time never did produce a lightweight adapter until the impact pedal came out. The new adapter is wafer thin and must be something like 25 grams.

When your refering to the adapter plate are you including the cleats as well? Yes they are heavy., but they work great and the rear cam last for years.
I'm looking at the CX pro since they come in half sizes. Colorado doesn't offer the half size option at my size(40.5). But thanks anyway.
