Using your top cap with a carbon fiber steerer tube.Juanmoretime

I was reading a post a while back on how someone wanted to use their King stem cap with a carbon fiber steerer. You now can. I just bought a Columbus Muscle fork, I went from an Reynolds Ouzo and like the Muscle better. The plug that comes with it comes a part and just uses an ordinary cap, so I was able to pop my King cap on. I would think you would need to use your LBS or contact Columbus to get one.
ditto for Easton forks.....IAmtnbikr

except their expanding insert sucks to use. After two times of it getting away from me and dropping down the steerer tube, I got it installed. And am using a King top cap as well. Never seen them advertised, but they are out there.

The Columbus device works very well, I would put it on par with the one that came with ny Reynolds Ouzo Pro.
