Doh!...rim size = tire size???MXL02

Ok...I was under the impression that there were different width rims for 20c, 23c, 25c, and 28c clincher tires...but when looking for them, it appears that one rim fits all??!! Is this correct? Sorry about this dumb question.

Yes and no...
Most road bike wheels will work with most of those widths..
say 18mm 19mm 20mm 23mm 25mm but maybe not the 28mm...
i wider rim will work with all the sizes except maybe the 18.. or 19mm so most rims will work with most tire sizes... but some rims work with only most tire sizes... acctually i have a pair of wheels that i think can only go upto 25mm not 28mm... but for the most part... you are correct... 1 rim... many tire widths...
As a practical matter, it barely mattersretro

I've used tires from 700x20 to 700x35 on one bike and from 23 to 40 on the other, and I've never had a problem. Your frame may not handle bigger tires, but your rims aren't likely to notice the difference.
