Ksyrium Noise Problem(5 posts)

I have a pair of Ksyrium SL SSC clinchers w/ about 800 miles on them. The front wheel has developed an UNREAL squeak. Really really loud. The wheel is true and I have definitely isolated it to the front wheel. The spokes do not appear to be rubbing. The problem appeared around 600 miles. I am not a heavy rider and have ridden them only on smooth terrain. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Funnily enough I've just been having a similar problem with my Ksyrium's. My squeak wasn't quite as loud as yours sounds though. My problem was solved by cleaning and re-greasing the QR skewer and making sure it was clamped up again nice and tight.
That fixed my K's, also lube the nipples. nmPaul

When I replaced my old wheelset with Ksyriums, the old OEM Rolfs had rubber "washers" on the old skewers (more like a rubberband wrapped around several times).
You can cut out an old inner tube to do the same nmPaul
