A few facts are known about Macalu bikes, one of which is that they are made by somebody other than Excel, and then branded with the Macalu brand. Why does this matter?

If they're aluminum, they're probably made by Kinesis, Hoddakka, Giant, or Merida, who make about 99.9% of aluminum bikes in the world. Which means that it probably has the same derailluer hanger as the other bikes made by these four builders. Bring the old hanger to your bike shop, have them compare it to the aluminum hangers they have in stock (albeit for other bikes) and odds are good that you'll find a match. If not, call Excel, and they will almost certainly have them.
Been there. Done that!!!Fender

been there. done that. Most shops are like "What the heck is that"?? They've tried matching it up with there in stock frames and so far nothing.

The frame was made by Kinesis and I've given them a couple of calls, and so have the people from Excel sports, and we have yet to recieve a response.

Could a custom frame builder produce a new one?? or at least turn my frame into a track bike???
