|Just bought a set of Dura-Ace STI shifters from a local shop but have a feeling that they sold me older shifters since they don't move much DA stock. Is there a way to tell the difference between 2002 models and older stuff?|

|If its a double, I think there are only 2 9-speed models, ST-7700 and ST-7700C. Actually three if you count the "team" version. Anyway, the "C" model is flight deck compatible and is easily identifiable by the words "Flight Deck" on the front caps and the little rubber buttons on the inboard side of each lever hood. The "C" is the newer of the two models. Not sure if there is a 7701 model for '02 like some other components, but you can find the model number on the lever body by peeling back the rubber hood a bit.
If it's a triple, there's only one model, ST-7703 which is new this year.
