Looking for something that really gets the old glue off of tubular rims.

Use goof-off and scotch brite(red)!! You can find it in any hardware store. It's the best!! What i do is use a little chisel to carefully scrape off the built-up chunks(be very careful as to not scratch or damage rim) and then I use some nice coarse red Scotch-brite with Goof-Off. Then when you all finished with removing the glue be sure to clean the rim with some alcohol. This is sort of time consuming process but my rims looked brand new afterwards! No traces of old glue- whatsoever!
