| Quill Stems ?? | RickF Aug 15, 2002 5:11 AM | | Anyone know where you can get a decent quill stem these days? Been looking all over and there doesn't seem to be much of a supply. |
| re: Quill Stems ?? | qui-gon jin Aug 15, 2002 5:41 AM | | One good way to find a quill is used off of ebay or on this site. I have a 110mm Cinelli 1" quill that I have had for a few years and it is hardly used, if you are interested. I am sure many roadies have them sitting around collecting dust, and would love to get rid of them. |

But it really depends on what you're after. I'm currently a fan of ControL Tech (sans decals), but YMMV. |

| lickbike.com, excell, performance, supergo or a salsa at your lb | colker Aug 15, 2002 7:24 AM | | i still see them around. |
| re: Quill Stems ?? | Old_school_nik Aug 15, 2002 8:12 AM | | Like the new Salsa stems with removable face plates... not the lightest - but not heaviest either - very very strong - at excel and supergo I think.

| re: Quill Stems ?? | RickF Aug 15, 2002 4:36 PM | | Thanks for all the help. I checked out the Rivendell site and those are really nice, if a bit pricey. The others are all great choices, the only problem being that most of the mail order places don't seem to have any selection. |
| re: Quill Stems ?? | trout_bum Aug 15, 2002 7:00 PM | | www.excelsports has 90, 105 deg Salsa classic road stems on sale for $29.95. I just bought 2 90deg 110 and 120 just to have on hand. Really nice stem if your set up allows for a slight rise. |
