Fork Rake(4 posts)

I have a 54cm 853 steel frame which originally came with a 45mm rake steel fork. It currently has a 43mm rake carbon fork. My question is that I noticed the Look HSC-1 fork in a 45mm rake on sale at supergo for $179. Is it worth going to the trouble of switching? Would I really notice a difference? My goal is to see if this improves the handling of my bike. I could only assume the original framebuilder specified the 45mm rake for reasons of optimizing the handling and stability of the frame.

Any opinions on this, or is it a waste of time and money?

A waste of money ,IMHO for a 2* difference.

A 45mm rake will let your bike turn quicker than the 43. The 43mm rake should feel more stable by helping the bike continue in a straight line. But I don't know if a 2mm rake change will be much of a difference.

I think it's the opposite. 43mm will turn quicker than 45mm. some one correct me if i'm wrong.
